Peter Cimino – Director of Journalism & Head Writer
Peter is an established writer and author, who was schooled and trained in the art of writing through various writing courses at Roosevelt University during his journey to a degree in psychology. He further honed his skills by earning two writing diplomas from the Long Ridge School of Writing.
Peter writes several feature stories for every Sports Life issue, edits many others, and works directly with all staff writers. Often told he has a “unique voice”, one of Peter’s specialties is bringing the human element into every piece he writes.
“I take a lot of pride in bringing my subjects to life in a way that the reader can easily relate to them. When I write an interview based story it is critical to create a true human connection between the person I am writing about and the reader. I do that by portraying exactly who and what they are. Everything is real.”
Peter grew up on sports both watching and playing. There aren’t too many he doesn’t lend any eye to. You name it: football, baseball, hockey, basketball, bowling (PBA men & women), auto racing, golf, boxing, even professional wrestling. He is of course extremely passionate about his New York favorites: the Super Bowl XLVI Champion New York Giants, the NY Mets, NY Rangers and NY Knicks. He still plays softball and bowls in a men’s league.
For a complete portfolio of Peter’s published works (which includes numerous other sports stories, paranormal stuff and stories about real life experiences), please check out his web site at www.petercimino.com

Originally from New Jersey, Peter moved to the Chicago area in 1994. He now resides in Naperville, IL with his wife Wendy and two young sons: Matthew and Nicholas.

Diane M. Grassi is a columnist of independent thought, who provides in-depth reports on U.S. public policy and government affairs, on key federal and state legislation including court decisions relative to the interests of average Americans. Unique to Ms. Grassi’s writing are the topical issues she selects for her readership, and includes analysis about sports in relationship to society and culture. Her goal is to present factual content to the reader and to inspire others to become better informed with an appetite to remain so.
Ramifications of much important legislation and decisions made by the federal and state governments are often given but lip service by the mainstream press or broadcast media, leaving average Americans at a loss. As such, Ms. Grassi’s goal is to paint a comprehensive picture for the reader, presenting the facts.
With a passion for holding U.S. lawmakers and government officials accountable for enacting legislation and policies, both good and bad, Ms. Grassi has an undying resolve to awaken others to these facts. She enjoys intellectually honest and original reporting without an agenda and likens herself to a catalyst for piquing readers’ interests in order to promote such knowledge. She therefore takes her fact-finding seriously and is fastidious in doing so. You will find Diane M. Grassi versatile in her choice of writings and her range is extensive, meaning no topic is off limits, as she is able to grasp a great many of them from law to business, from economics to foreign policy, along with healthcare issues and an expanse of matters relevant to the U.S. military.
Ms. Grassi’s interest in government stems from her community activism and advocacy, in the New York City area, where Ms. Grassi lived, attended college, and was employed in New York City for most of her life. A resident of the southwest for 16 years, in 20011 she relocated to the New York City Metropolitan area where she has continued her writing; a composite of her past educational, professional and advocacy backgrounds. About Us
Finally, some good news in the sports media world! We believe enough is enough. No more false accusations and slandering, headline-snatching stories. It’s time to focus on the positive in a world too full of negative news. We are creating a forum for the athletes to share their words and opinions; their stories–nothing more, nothing less.
....................................................................................................................The “good guys” have arrived...........................................................................................................................
Sports Life magazine offers what your favorite players and sports celebrities have to say. You will see no opinionated “smear” stories, or controversy-driven articles here. Our mission is to be a positive force in the world of sports media, while providing the world’s top athletes an outlet to tell their truths; to speak their minds. We will report only what they have to say, not the often jaded, “hidden-agenda” opinions of outsiders. Other magazines feature stories about athletes, only to cut them down to size. No wonder sports icons, who have human failings, are reluctant to talk to the media. Sports Life’s philosophy is to report only what is told to us directly from the “source.” We are dedicated to giving an inside look at the Pro Teams, Individuals life and career, our true sports hero’s of today. We are an National & International subscription magazine with a rock-hard positive slant. We will have feel good stories about overcoming obstacles, getting up of the mat so-to-speak, to reach the pinnacle of success, as well as in-depth interviews reported by our highly-experienced stable of writers and photographers. Sports Life will cover all of the top sports leagues from around the World. We will also hone in on the younger generation’s sports, including skateboarding, snow boarding, mountain biking, etc. In other words, all “extreme” sports will come into play on our pages.
